No-show rate

No-show rate in driver recruiting is the share of hired candidates who fail to appear at orientation or their scheduled start. It measures the decay between a verbal "yes" and a driver actually in the seat.

Why it matters when hiring drivers

Every no-show wastes the entire upstream funnel — the ad, the screening, the recruiter's closing work — and often an orientation slot and travel arrangement too. The causes are usually competing offers accepted during the paperwork gap and expectations that didn't survive contact with the real terms. Honest postings, screened expectations and same-day paperwork all push the number down.
